Today is THE day!

I am sitting in the library doing some last minute printing/organizing before heading to the airport. My FIRST flight leaves at 3:45 today and I will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday at 10:35 am. Its going to be a long few days.

I want to say a few things.

First- THANK YOU to everyone for the tremendous support I have been receiving. The fact that you all believe in me and this trip means more than I can express. There is nothing I would rather be doing this summer than spending time with these children.  I am so excited to bring you along on this trip.  My fundraising website (to the right) will remain open while I am away, so if there is a specific child or project you would like to support, let me know and I can make that happen! All of the donations go directly towards helping these children and I am delighted to be able to share their stories with you.

Second- the two girls I am traveling with are going to be co-writing this blog with me and we have decided to profile a specific child and/or project every few days, and in between we will keep you updated on the people we meet and the city we will be staying in!

And now I am off to the airport. The next time I write I will be 8,500 miles away and 12 hours ahead! I'll let you know how the future is ;).
